CartoonRama

It’s funny how reality hits me so severely and robbed me
off blogging for so many months!

So here I am, defying all odds simply to burn away some spider webs…
Well, life has been like a CartoonRama for me and I love it!
A mundane tale to some kids and a bore to many.

Just so you know, I have cartoon-ized some people in my life.
They are a bunch of amazing people whom I adore.

Oh! and living life on a fast lane has its consequences.
But I’m not complaining.
2009 is definitely like riding a choo choo train..

Do you know what Love can do?... No?
Well, Love cast out all fears…

On a side note…
What?? The last time I blogged was January? Well, definitely a lot has changed since then.
Relationships and friendships have been put to test. Which is a good thing!
Working life has been really enjoyable and at the same time, a learning curve.
Well, at the end of the day, I’m still very much into the reward system, if I work hard,
I play harder too! Something I have learned from my previous boss, Selina the Kimora.

Now that I’m working for Dennis, things have surely taken a paradigm shift.
I no longer work from 9am to 5pm. Its more of a 24/7 revolving around the
clock kind of lifestyle. But at the same time, I get to work at my own pace.
Gotta admit that, working with this young chap is definitely an experience,
with 5 years of working experience under his belt. I ought to be the most
blessed girl to be able to learn everything from him.

In just a period of two months, I’ve mastered the art to run the whole company,
well, the hard way. For example, I hit a few walls and shed a few tears before
I learn the real trick. But all in all, Den has been a great teacher who provided
me with a lot of room to improve myself. And since I’m from the PR industry,
doesn’t take me long to know how to handle people I need to
work closely with.

While I manage Mosaic comfortably, Den is working his ass off making sure his
album will be launched within dateline. This could be the album of the year,
the works and effort that Den has put in definitely will be able to touch lives and
gain faithful listeners and affect music lovers.

DarlingDon on the other hand, has been sharing lots about what he intend to do
in future and things he sees us doing together. He’s similarly working his hearts
out trying to make sure everything he visualizes will be materialized.
A doer and goal hitter! That’s what I truly admire about him. But dear, sometimes,
I wish we can just take a break and enjoy the now, the process toward achieving
that medal. Let’s take out time to smell the roses and just enjoy the breeze.
It’s on the way to our destination anyway. =) *imagine us holding hands,
grey hair, walking inch by inch….(deep exhale)… so beautiful…*

Oh Lord, please bless the works of thy servants' hands....

I have always been the positive one, be it among my family members, my relationship
as well as friendships, I’m never afraid to strive hard and give my level best.
I know I have the upper hand because If God is for me, who shall be against me?
I never thought anything was too impossible, you just need to be resourceful.
All you need to do is just ask. =) Mom has always emphasized that, we,
as children of God, are always the blessed ones. Just walk the talk,
and praise him all the time! Want to know what’s the key to one’s success?
Well, Faith is the key and Prayer unlocks the doors!

Also, I recently came back from Melbourne, Australia, to find that Malaysian
is truly blessed with job opportunities as well as the very low cost of living.
Our country’s economy is almost unperturbed compared to others.
So start counting your blessings and thank God you’re a Malaysian. =)

Oh trust me! Shopping in Australia is heavenly. And I had to give up converting
and comparing the price in Australia at one point. The whole process is just
tedious and also because I don’t want to go into depression and then start
having nightmares about me overspent and calculator went missing or my
purchased was not worth it and Malaysia had better options.
Not worth killing the brain cells.

But out of the 6 days I spent in Melbourne, I got to say, not a penny was wasted.
I came home recharged, had more fresh ideas to toy around with.
Unwind all my pain over just a week’s holiday. Had a fabulous time with my Angels,
Quentin and Stanley…Shirley, Brana and Philip! Most importantly,
I met someone new.. My God son, Asher!

Well, the was all good….Now, on the contrary,

The sore was when I hit LCCT, Malaysia’s airport, at 6.30am on a Sunday morning.
I started working the moment I landed. Pffft! Went home to bathe and changed
and went for a meeting at 10.30am to meet a Datin in Sime Darby Convention Centre.
Oh well… I think people have a term for that.. its called reality or something along
that line. Not important. Till I have the time to blog again… Cheers and God Bless!

The divine gateway to the Mysticial land.

I hardly have time to blog these days.
But the trip was good. Manage to get the much needed rest and unwind.
back to my normal diet. and most importantly! I get to swim!! woo hoo.
favourite past time ever!

Shopped like a mad person and gained lots of good bargain.
Surfer brands in Bali is rock bottom downright cheap.
Well, I wish I could share more... But I need to run now.
Gotta pay my phone bill cause its barred. What a cruel reminder.
Get Sugar's dog food before that poor thing passed out, and then make business' phone calls.
I'm loving my work day by day.

Hating my social life which is down to ground zero.
Thank God for Chinese New Year.
I get to pig out and live life!

2008 has swift by like a cool breeze.
DarlingDon and I couldn’t agree more that God was paving our way in reaching all destinations to experience new beginnings.

So many things has happened last year, some were mind boggling, and some were just plain joyous. Lessons were learned throughout the year in so many ways and from different individuals who has crossed path with me and my love ones.

My series of extreme emotions was a gradual curve of up and down.

The down side would have to be when I had to leave college and make the big leap into the working world. But it quickly picked up when I draw strength from the Lord each day to give me that renewed strength knowing there is a purpose in all that I’m involve in.

But I eventually drowned myself with work, so God taught me a great lesson again, when I met a terrible accident two months back, almost have someone killed when I hit the taxi. I cried my hearts out when the incident flashes back from time to time, but knowing God loves me too much and kept the person alive with just a few scratches and she left with a smile telling me it was alright.

The cab driver turned around and asked me if I was alright when my car was minimally dented while his totally damaged, later on I offered him some cash since his means of earning has been wrecked totally by me, but he refused and said it was alright. Even the policemen joked with me to calm me down telling me I was very blessed to have been kept alive.

Long story short, I learned how to rest and the art of prioritizing, the hard way.

Joyous occasions quickly rise to the occasion when families are united. Angel Sonja’s baby, Asher arrives. My new working experience with Dennis is giving me much room to organize things and rest to reach my potential. And Stan is home now to reunite with friends and most importantly, His Love ones-- my angel, Cheryl.

Then Christmas play came along, where the rehearsal schedule is just plain crazy, but Don and I made it a point to make it for each and every practice and gave our level best knowing this is to celebrate The Lord’s birthday. And we ended the year with a bang of confetti’s, wishes and hugs!

But what everyone ought to know is… 2009 will be a greater year for you and me. Have faith in Him!

My bold attempt to harness the power of PR…

It was almost impossible to have lived the way I did.

But nevertheless I lived life to the fullest.

Everything is possible when God is paving your way.

From doing what I love most to sharing what I know best.

I get to organize the best parties in town, meet influential opinion leaders along the way.

Learn a great amount of knowledge from my bosses (Selina yeop and Dennis Lau).

And now, all that has to come to a full stop while I continue with my studies abroad.

It is a struggle having to leave doing what you are passionate of,

But I take comfort in thinking this is for the better.

Let’s just say for the next 10 months, will be a period of change that is constant to gear up with greater skills.

Paradigm shift it is!

In short, what have I learnt from the last 4 months?

- PR is one of the many things you have to grapple with – Good PR can help you, bad PR can destroy you.

- Love it or loathe it, PR is one of the most valuable management tools around.

- PR, as Selina the Kimora always says, ‘is about managing client’s expectations.’... so true.

Oh, the secrets from the world of spin are just a series of unspeakable fun and thrills!

You’ll get the drift when you start living in the fast lane of the PR industry.

Otherwise, what you already know about PR is probably just the tip of an iceberg.

Also, can you hear the jingle bells ringing??

It’s Christmas and I already have myself packed with lots of goodies in my room for my love ones.
